The history of Garner & Associates Engineering PC dates to 1985 when D. Stanley Borden, PE formed Borden Engineering and located an office in Montgomery, Alabama. In 1991, Mr. Borden, along with a business partner, formed Borden and Morris Consulting Engineers. The firm offered complete mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design. In 2013, D. Morgan Garner, PE became a principal of the original firm and the firm was renamed Borden Morris Garner Consulting Engineers, offering full MEP services. In 2019, a firm division resulted in Garner & Associates Engineering, PC which included the experienced electrical staff of the previous entity. The firm remains in the original location in Montgomery in a state-of-the-art office offering a heightened quality of service expected from a firm with a combined experience of over 100 years in electrical engineering and project management. A second location in Tuscaloosa allows a personalized client-staff relationship covering the entire state of Alabama. Garner & Associates Engineering, PC is currently licensed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas offering electrical, life safety, and auxiliary system consulting and designing with CAAD and Revit.

D. Morgan Garner, PE

Mr. Garner has been involved in the electrical contracting business since 1995 in all phases of electrical design work. Morgan became principal of Borden Morris Garner Consulting Engineers in January 2014 after working with the firm as Senior Project Manager/Electrical Engineer since December 2008 where he worked alongside architects for building owners developing the electrical infrastructure of the buildings including, but not limited to, power, lighting, structured cabling, security, fire alarm, and audiovisual. Most of his work revolves around commercial buildings, schools, apartments, parks, and multi-purpose buildings. His experience includes the design of new churches, apartment complexes, schools, offices, military buildings, and various commercial and municipal buildings. Morgan is heavily involved in green design.

D. Stanley Borden

Mr. Borden started Borden Morris Engineering in 1985. Since that time, he has been involved in all phases of electrical design and engineering work. His experience includes the design of new churches, apartment complexes, schools, offices, military buildings, and various commercial and municipal buildings. Mr.Borden also has extensive knowledge and experience in the renovation of those same types of projects. He has recently provided a pedestrian lighting master plan for The City of Auburn, which included 1100 pole lights
